Hello, I don't use Wi-Fi or wireless (RF) and only use hard wired equipment. Does anyone know if the wifi (RF) can be completely neutralized (turned off) on one or both of the Humax 4000T and 5000T and do the remotes use Infra Red or wireless? I currently use Virgin Tivo hardwired using Homeplugs, but would like to swap over to either one of these boxes. On the new Virgin box V6, wireless cannot be turned off in the remote so it gives off RF which I don't want. Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Remotes are Infra Red. The menu option to configure WLAN isn't available when hard wired.

As these boxes are configured to save as much power as possible (they even turn off unused tuners), guessing the WIFI adaptor isn't powered when directly connected.

Hi, thank you Graham for your response, that information will be most useful for my purposes. I'll be looking into one of these boxes in the future.

    My best regards
