My FVP 4000T has suddenly stopped accepting new recording. The existing scheduled recordings are still being picked up but I can no longer record new single programmes or series. This is the case via setting recording on the EPG or pressing the record button while watching a programme. The remote is fine but I get no response from the box when pressing record series or programme. The pause live TV does still however work so the hard drive seems ok and I can still play back existing recordings.
    Any suggestions?

Have you tries a "Factory default" (under System settings)?

But before you do that, if you haven't done so already, switch it off at the wall and switch it back on again.

Generally easier to pull out the rear 12V power plug. Leave it powered off for long enough to drain any stored energy. If in full sby this can be a few minutes.5 mins should be OK

Thank you for your help. Yes indeed unplugging did the trick. The 4000T does seem a bit flakey at times. I think the software can let it down in small but annoying ways (e.g. when you want to watch a recording that is still in progress it defaults to the 'watch live' option, highly unlikey you would want to do this).
All in all however, I'm pleased with performance.
    Thanks once again.
