Cannot view content over network using VLC

I think you will need to be running samba on the Humax to allow the windows machine with VLC to play the files.

I have installed Samba but to be honest I am not sure what I am doing - sorry Dino.

Edit - I don't use Windows, I am on Linux Mint which is based on Ubuntu.

I have now googled to find out how to make my PC a client so I can access the Humax (which is definitely running Samba) - is there an easy guide anywhere?
