I have an old FreeSat HDR (no HMDI) from which I've upgraded to the HMDI version. The old HDR now has no aerial input. Most things on it do not work and are not needed. In particular the handset media list button does not work. The handset opt+ button does work but only to enter postcode, and with no aerial connected, that hits a roadblock. HOW CAN I ACCESS MY OLD RECORDINGS? (I've tried all combinations of buttons on front of box.)

Puzzled what make/model is your old Freesat box. Humax have never made a Freesat+ pvr without hdmi. You can feed a signal to the old box if the new one is also a Foxsat-hdr by using the tuner 1 out socket on it.
Need details of what the old and new boxes actually are.
If the new one is a Humax pvr it's remote will control an older Humax pvr provided its not one of the old 9xxx series Freeview boxes.
