Channel 5 HD Freeview vs Freesat.

    I changed the FVP4000 to 1080i output as a test and I could then see a definite lack of quality compared to Freeview 1080p and Satellite 1080i.(guess that is some internal processing of the FVP)

    For both 1080i and the 1080p the FVP-4000T should be sending overall the same level of detail but in two parts in stead of just the one. There were some early TVs that incorrectly processed 1080i dropping every half frame but these days there should be no difference with a digital TV and the same source, in this case the FVP-4000T.

    Haven't got around to watching a 5hd film yet, the first two 5HD films I recorded were clearly just upscaled SD (deleted them). But had a quick look at 'Under Siege' and it seems to be pretty good for PQ but according to IMBD that films soundtrack is only "Dolby Stereo (4 Channels)" .
