I'm interested in getting the HDR 2000T to replace me SKY TV subscription when it expires. I'm not bother about the media play back options as I several devices that do that I interested in the ability to play recorded TV of the box on other compatible devices. I have a QNAP TS-212 NAS with Twonkymedia that I store my media and a couple of WDLive TV boxes in different rooms can I use these to playback the recorded TV in different locations. Or failing that can I use the QNAP and a Android Tablet. Thanks

It would be awkward to get recordings from the HDR-2000T on to the QNAP. However the HDR-2000 has its own DLNA server so you should be able to play SD recordings to any device with a DLNA client functionality directly. The alternative would be to get the earlier HDR-FOX T2 and install the custom firmware which would open up a whole range of possibilities.

I don't really want to buy two units I'm hoping to utilise the equipment I already have. I believe that the WDLive TV is 1.5 DNLA certified,if that's the case would it be able to read the contents straight of the 2000T's drive? Thanks

If the HDR2000T is networked and content sharing is enabled then you should see the HDR2000T using the WD-Live DLNA client.
