I have just bought a PAnasonic Viera 50@ plasma and have a Humax Foxsat HDR.
Bit confused as to where to put antenna in.
When i put it in the TV,I get no signal for my Humax and then when i put it in the Humax I get no signal for the Tv's internal tuner.
Anyway to connect them ?!
Thanks in advance

This is confusing. You say antenna, I assume you mean the terrestrial (Freeview) antenna? This plugs into the antenna input of the TV, the Humax gets the feed from your satellite dish, the Humax then being connected to the TV either by HDMI (best connection) or SCART. The TV when switched on will default to the antenna input, you then have to select the HDMI input using the AV key on your R/C. In the TV settings you can alter the default input if you are using HDMI connection 1.

Thanks Pollensa.
How does the Humax get a feed from my dish?| Wed 1 Jan 2014 14:09:04 #3 | -
1) Have you got a satellite dish?
2) Does it have cables connected to the dish?
3) Are the cables connected to anything else at the moment (eg a Sky box)?

I did have a Sky box years ago,was replaced by the Humax so i guess the aerial is still connected to dish? (I can get satellite only channels).
Only 'cable'coming in from outside appears to be a TV aerial.CONFUSED.COM!

So you can still view Freesat channels using the Humax?
And you used to be able to view Freeview channels with your old TV?

Yes.at the moment I can either get full channel selection via humax or via the tv depending where aerial is plugged into but cant get BOTH working.

My old Foxsat HDR had antenna in from the aerial and out to TV.

Something wrong here.
A satellite box connects to a lnb (the box on the arm sticking out of a dish). A TV connects to a TV aerial, the coax is the same but the connections are normally different (satellite uses f connectors which screw on, (the Foxsat has two input connectors one for each tuner). Terrestrial aerial connectios are normally push in connectors (Belling Lee) but need not be.
Normally used for satellite
For Terrestrial TV
The Foxsat has a tuner 1 out, it's not the same as an aerial connection.
If your TV gets some channels connected to a dish it's purely because the coax cables are acting as a crude aerial.
If your Foxsat works in some way it must be connected to a lnb/dish. You will get zilch from a terrestrial aerial.
To make the Foxsat work 100% you need a lnb with at least two outputs, if you only have one you can connect the one cable to tuner 1 in, and using a short cable connect tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in.
To make the TV work you need a feed from a normal aerial, as you can get some channels using a dish cable you might be lucky and get some channels from an indoor aerial. You cannot mix the two., satellite and terrestrial work in different ways.

I am wondering if the OP actually has a Fox T2 or other Freeview PVR rather than a Foxsat HDR?
