I want to replace the cooling fan on my Foxsat HDR. It's still working at the moment but given the age of the box, and the fact that the HDD is a fair bit younger, I'd like to do this as a preventative measure. (Recently did the same on an old laptop.)
I have a problem however with the connector. It's significantly "slimmer" than what now seems to be standard for fan connectors. By which I mean the shortest dimension is noticeably less on the existing components than on all the new ones I've seen, whether 2, 3 or 4 pin.
Can anyone suggest anything that might help me trace either a suitable fan with the correct connector, or an adapter? I've so far found nothing online and I don't want to get into cutting and connecting wires if it can be avoided. Thanks a lot.
