I've removed the custom firmware from my HDR Fox T2 because I need to send it back to Humax as it suddenly stopped receiving a signal. The uninstall seems to have been successful with the exception that when it is powered on, the "custom firmware" message appears on the front display. I obviously don't want this to show up as it may invalidate my warranty. Any clues on what I can do to remove it?

How did you remove it? Have you completed the process by installing the standard firmware?

I went into the Web-if and selected the 'Remove all custom fimware packages" option. I then loaded a USB with standard firmware, powered off the unit, plugged in the USB and powered it on. I assumed that was it.

Which is the wrong thing to do. You should have used the option below it "Set Return-to-manufacturer (RMA) mode".

Bugger. Is there any way to change it or do I have to reinstall and uninstall the custom firmware again?

Sorry I don't know for certain; the experts on custom firmware who will know are at hummy.tv. Certainly reinstalling and then doing it the correct way will work.
