What problems ? It's very unlikely the CF is to blame. It doesn't change the way the box works when not used with a PC, nor alter the existing software apart from a different message when booting the box.

In fact retaining it is likely to make it easier to find out what the problem is.

Yes sorry forgot to say its a foxsat HDR!
I am not seeing any of the recorded program's although the hard drive
    Is a 37%.
It dose not always do this but when it plays up I power down at the
Wall and I can see program's again!
    Thanks

    Firstly try a factory reset.

If it's not still under warranty.

With the power off, remove the lid and the HDD carrier. Try removing and re-seating the cables connected to the HDD. It could be just a intermittent bad connection.

If you aren't already on CF 1.04.11 reflash to the latest version.

The CF won't be the cause of the problem.

I believe v1.00.21 is the latest (and probably final) official release for the HDR.

If you have installed the Custom Firmware 1.0.11 it will also have installed the latest Humax Firmware 1.0.21 as part of the process anyway.

Did you do a factory reset as Graham suggested?

If yes, then I would try running the CF disk-fix utility to see if disk problems exist.
