We replaced our DVR T-1010 Youview box with a new Humax a few years ago, but kept the old one connected to the TV as there were recordings on it.
It's not been switched on for a while (for some definition of a while), but we tried this last weekend and it wouldn't get past the first screen (and continued to show "Please Wait" on the box itself). We've tried getting it into maintenance mode using the online instructions and although the screen asks if we want to go into it, either selection returns to the loading screen and "Please Wait".
This is a long shot (I'm almost certain the box is terminally broken), but is there anything else I could try before I junk it?
