Will this box will support the other IPTV streams (eg Vision TV, connect-tv) and more "modern" items specified in the updated freeview specifications, that the T2 does not support as it was released before the updated specification were released?

I rather think you are asking a question that should be addressed to YouView - "Broadband connectivity means a YouView box automatically updates itself with the latest features"

Not that it is very good, concentrates on the On Demand functions, and not a lot re the PVR functions.
