Help! Today my YouView box has full sound but no picture. I’ve checked all the cables, I’ve powered off & on again. I tried to Do a factory reset but I can’t as it doesn’t bring up the onscreen instructions, all I’m getting is “no signal”. The remote is working fine & I can turn over channels (I can hear the change of programmes I just can’t see anything.
None of the hdmi ports on my tv work so it has always been connected by scart (of which there is only 1 port) it has always worked fine tho. Could it be the scart lead suddenly stopped working? Although wouldn’t that stop the sound too? Would it just stop the picture? I’ve took it out & put it back in but still only getting full sound but black screen with no signal box. Any suggestions please?! Thanks

The SCART is a particulary poor type of connector, and prone to intermittent connection.Since the audio and video are on different pins, it is quite possible to have one without the other.
First make sure both ends are fully pushed home, they have a habit of 'walking out'. You could try another SCART cable if you have one.
Also check that your TV SCART input is selected to either composite video or RGB (which ever one you normally use).
Hope one of these gets your picture back.| Mon 15 Oct 2018 11:23:18 #2 | -
Check also that the SCART cable is also fully seated in the TV.

Thanks, I tried taking the scart out & fully pushing back in again but it was still the same result. I couldn’t find a spare scart lead (I know I have one!!!) but I’ll get one tonight & try a different lead. Fingers crossed!

Try turning the TV to its own tuner then back to using the SCART input.

What I would do at this point is try your Youview box on another TV. If you don't have another TV then perhaps ask a neighbour or friend if you can try your box on theirs.
