Does anyone else edit recorded programmes they wish to keep for long periods and remove all the adverts?

I have used various packages but still takes reasonable time to find each advert and remove them; and then save the file in its the same format as original. Changing the file format normally seems to increase the size of the file and take a lot longer to export.

Some packages that offer auto-detection of the adverts don't seem to find the adverts.

Any suggestion on the best and quickest package on the market to do this with?

Video Redo TVSuite is the best high speed mpeg editor out there. It's not free though. Output is only recoded at edit points so output is very fast.

Thanks Graham. I have been using that for some years now and I agree, so far, that is the best one especially if one masters the shortcut commands.

I have so far used Nero, Adobe, Kendlive, Final cut, DaVinci Resolve but VideoRedo is best for this purpose.

I was just hoping one that can jump to the start of an advert, but it is not that bad.
