I have a Foxsat hd and setup Ray Reeedon brilliant firmware extension, to send emails amongst other great things.

But it no longer sends emails, just stopped after a few years.

The pushmail "Generate and Send" button does not send an email either.

    Any help much appreciated. Thanks

As far as I know nothing has been heard from Raydon for more than 3 years and other people have taken over the work of keeping some of the packages in the Foxsat custom firmware up to date. The place where I see them posting is in the Foxsat custom firmware forum at hummy.tv https://hummy.tv/forum/forums/foxsat-hdr-customised-firmware.38/ You might try and ask your question there.

Push mail still works - but you need a server that will accept requests from the HDR client.

What has happened is that email service providers have been turning off the unsecured and less secure protocols and ports on their servers over the last few years.

If your mail provider has done this, push mail is unable to send the mails as it doesn't have the more secure options.

What is your setting for "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and port" ?
