Hi, I have just been given a F2 Fox T freeview box (not the HD), new in 2006, which is missing channel five and possibly other channels and has no audio on some radio channels!. I have retuned a few times without success. Is this a common fault with an easy fix.

No this is not a common fault with the F2-FOX T, I suggest you try a Default Setting and post back if the problem persists. Are you sure you can receive all the multiplexes with your existing aerial?

The F2-FOX T is a very good Freeview box but unfortunately Humax left the software in a poor state. If the software version is v12 or v13 you'll find the programme information will disappear after a few hours running, the only way to get it back is to switch OFF the mains, wait 30 seconds(ish) and back ON again.

Thanks. I am not sure what a default setting is. I have a panasonic, a philips and a durabrad box, all work well and have all channels.

Menu > Installation > Password (0000) > Default setting. Will return the box to factory settings, clear memory etc. and then do an Automatic Search for channels. You can download a manual from the Humax web site.
