We bought our HDR 2000T from Humax as a manager's special at the end of 2014 so the guarantee ran out last Christmas. I initially contacted them early in 2015 to say we were having "no signal" problems from time to time and was told to do a manual retune. Well, it worked OK after that but then we've had freezing/pixellation so an engineer has just installed new cabling and a mast head amp but he also said the RF input ssocket on the box is faulty, hence still getting signal break up. As it's out of guarantee, I can't see Humax doing anything though I have emailed them.
Is there any way to fix this loose socket or do I just need a new box and is the 1800T as good as the 2000T (it's cheaper!)
