Can anyone help? After two years faithful service my HDR FOX T2 has started droping out while copying to a usb hard disc. This is only on some files, but it always stops at exactly the same second on the same file. The original file still plays all the way through on the Humax. Any help gratefully received.

How is the USB hard disk formatted ? If it is FAT32 then the T2 will only copy 4GB max. regardless of actual disk space. You need to format the disk using ext3.

The custom firmware for the HDR FOX T2 adds write support for ntfs volumes. Also is able to create virtual usb drive on the internal drive.

Disk check the USB drive (inclusive of surface scan) - the copy may have hit a defective sector. You could also try a USB stick to see if you get the same result or not.
