I don't do this often but I wanted to transfer a recording of the Queen's Jubilee to DVD for an elderly relative. I use Aunsoft's Video Converter for all my media but whatever settings I tried the quality was poor and if I used high quality settings I ended up with a large file which needed to be split between several dual layer discs.
I contacted Customer support and after a few attempts Sam came up with a solution which was not only lightening fast but lost no quality and the file size remained the same size and was handled by the burning software with no problem. The answer was to remux the original file from MPEG-PS. I quote "The Remux function will only rewrap the original file to another format without changing the video and audio quality.
The Remux function actually is a very good feature to keep the original quality."
The remux took a matter of minutes instead of the 3 hours I was experiencing.
If you already knew this disregard this post but I'm tickled.
