Some of you may have noticed that subtitles sometimes miss some of the spoken words. I have just now done a bit of investigation.
I recorded the same programme (Flog It!) at the same time on the Humax FOX T2 HDR and also on Sichbo PVR on a a PC with a Freeview dongle, so they are recording the same Freeview signal.
I watched the Humax recording until I found a piece of subtitling missing. Watching the same section on the Sichbo recording showed it was actually broadcast, but the Humax 'lost' it. Interestingly, when I downloaded the TS file from the Humax to the PC and played it with VLC, the subtitles had the same gap, so the Humax failed to record that bit of subtitling.
If you've noticed this fault and wondered where the cause was, now you know - the Humax FOx T2 HDR loses bits of subtitle!
