My HB-1000S has finally given up...maybe duff caps?

I used a remote control from a BT (Humax) DTR-T2100 which worked OK with the HB-1000S.

I have a FOXSAT HD and HD FOX T2 in my "collection".

Does anybody know if a DTR-T2100 remote control (which works OK with HB-1000S) will also work with a FOXSAT HD or a HD FOX T2?

I read somewhere that Humax remotes can be configured to operate in different modes but I guess the original "box" needs to be used to re-configure the remote, if its actually possible. I think its used when 2 Humax devices which use the same remote control are being used in the same room?

    Thanks

Providing the FOXSAT HD or HD FOX T2 are set to use the default remote mode 1 then the buttons on the DTR-T2100 remote will work them. The DTR-2100 has less buttons.

Possibly the button you would miss most is the OPT+. Also not having a 'Media' button could be a pain. If you added an external drive to the HD FOX T2 then you would also be missing functions like bookmarking.

The best way to find out if you are personally OK using a cut down remote on either the FOXSAT HD or the HD FOX T2 is to try it!

    Thanks Luke.

Now I know that the DTR-T2100 remote will work (or partially work), I will dig out the FOXSAT HD and test it out!!

What is the OPT+ button for?

Do you know if any universal remotes (such as those from Lidl/Aldi) will provide full keypad functionality?
