After disconnecting both satellite cables during a storm, I have re-connected them, but now my Foxsat is only detecting 1 cable. I have checked the connectors, and tried a factory reset but without success. Cab anyone please help...

Try swapping the two input cables.

Thanks Graham - I tried that and did a reset a couple of times but no cables were detected. I then re-swapped them, and I am back to square 1, only 1 cable is detected. I might add, that although the cables were disconnected due to a forecast storm, it never arrived, so it cannot be damage from lightning!

No, that's a bit tricky - do you think it is a faulty lnb?

It's a distinct possibility. Loads on e-bay. You may need a legacy adaptor if the dish isn't the new MK4 model.

You did say you had checked the connectors, I would also take a second look and make sure no braid is touching the internal core on the non functioning cable.
In any case it is always a good idea to keep a spare LNB as they can go quite quickly - one I fitted went in 2 months and It was a well know brand with an excellent reputation.
