    Hi

Hoping for some advice. I have just purchased a Foxsat HDR. When I got it it started up fine. I decided to start afresh so did a factory reset from the menu.

The device is now stuck in the same loop. It enters boot then starts the wizard. I can get past past the post code check and starts to scam for channel but then 're boots and goes through the same! I hate to think I bought a dud any advice welcome!

    1. Try a cold restart (turn off power 10 mins) and restart.

    2. Power off for 10 mins and then open unit and disconnect hard-disk SATA and power connectors. If boots try and complete scan and then power down for another 10 min, reconnect Hard-disk and reboot. Format Hard-disk.

No such luck. It still does the same loop with the HDD unplugged.

It will go through the following settings.

    1. User Settings
    2. Freesat detection - signal on both LNB detected and no software found
    3. Postcode - locates and says England HD
    4. Search channels - nothing happens then reboots after about 10secs

When it starts it says u7.51 is there an firmware update I can do from USB?

Try flashing the latest custom firmware from here:
    https://www.avforums.com/threads/media-file-server-bundle-for-the-foxsat-hdr-release-4-part-6.2024876/
It contains the stock Humax firmware and some extra's.

    Reconnect the Hard-disk first.

    From memory to flash:
    1. Extract software to root on USB stick. Don't change the name.
    2. Put unit in standby for a few mins. Inset stick. Hold down button on unit and press power.
