Do Freesat HDDs have the capacity to be used with Freeview as well, maybe if the settings are changed?
There is a Freesat/Freeview threade but it is a few yearsw old and the internals may have changed.

There is a Freesat/Freeview threade but it is a few yearsw old and the internals may have changed.I don't know of any Humax PVRs that have that capability probably because the tuning hardware is completely different.

Many thanks for your helpful reply. I had hoped that Humax would have put two chips in to save on manufacturing costs and marketed them separately with the appropriate chip switched on - rather than run two different product factory lines.
