    Gotcha!, I had no idea this forum existed till last night. It's odd that invariably it's not until things go wrong that you start exploring. Have to say, we use our HUMAX FOXSAT-HDR every day, just because we don't like to miss anything, especially when the phone rings, so we can freeze the programm.

    Although we turn the TV power off every night, we always leave the recorder on. Hopefully it's safe to do so.

    By design (and EEC power saving regulations) all freesat recorders should de left in standby when not in use.
    They will awake to make scheduled recordings and the Foxsat will also awake perform maintenance tasks.
