FVP4000T. All previous recordings have vanished ?.

    All previous recordings have vanished ?.

    FVP4000T.Latest OS. Setup a recording for later in the evening. Checked the following morning and nothing recorded, but worse still all previous recording had gone.!!!
    Ran HD check and everything fine so as no recordings decided to Format.

    Question. Has this happened to any other member ?.

    Twice on another Humax unit.
    Once a standby cycle restored all, the other time a power cycle did the trick.

    You should have removed the power for 10 mins or so. Unlikely to help now as you have formatted the HDD.

    You should have removed the power for 10 mins or so. Unlikely to help now as you have formatted the HDD.

    Thank you...I'll know what to do if it happens again. Pity I did not no this info before formatting which to ensure a clean start

    The twice it happened was just after startup both on my HDR-1000S.
    I have seen other posts on other units suggesting the same problem.

    I believe accessing recordings shortly after boot sometimes results in zero contents initially, as the unit is 'busy' with all sorts of housekeeping eg populating the guide.

    My 15 minute power on timer at 07:00 should ensure that the first manual boot is with a fully populated epg for most.
