A few weeks back my Foxsat HDR started to lockup when accessing 'Guide', only fixable via pulling the power. It has worked for many years without this problem.
Looking back several years this did seem to be a problem for some users, and I noted your workaround using 'schedule' RED. This also seems to work for me. My question is did you or anyone ever discover what caused it, and why only some boxes. Repassac kindly offered some possible reasons 3 days back.

The only issue I can remember was after pressing guide it got stuck displaying downloading data. You could exit easily from the guide screen though. The fix at the time (courtesy of Barry), was to do a freesat tune and not save the results. Presumably it corrects some duff data.
As I always use schedule/red I have no idea if the issue is still present.
Unfortunately all the post data from this period was lost when the prominent Humax forum at the time shut down, so it's largely down to memory.

Thanks for your reply Graham, it was just out of interest.
I have as you said, always had the slow downloading, but never before a complete lockup.
Thanks again to you and Barry.| Tue 14 Jul 2015 11:24:56 #3 |
