I have an HDR2000T - will that work as you explain above?
You have posted in the HDR-FOX T2 section of the forum; please be careful to post in the correct section of the forum in future. The custom firmware isn't available for the HDR-FOX T2 so I am afraid that is a non-starter now that we know you have an HDR-2000T. As far as I know the only way to fix the problem on an HDR-2000T will be to take the hard drive out and connect it to a computer running Linux. Maybe someone else has a simpler solution.
