Hi,
Just wondering how I would be able to set up a smart DNS on my HDR-1010S running 2.00.05? Just to clarify it is legal and is NOT a grey area
Thanks

Any info on how to do it at router level?Easy (on most routers) and you would also be able to access via all your gone network.
I did give you the wrong info before - it is currently possible to setup on your PVR. If you briefly turn off DHCP on your router then manual settings will be offered. The router method is best.
See your router manual for details. Perhaps in the DHCP or main settings area.

I set up SmartyDNS on my router, and managed to get BBC iPlayer, ITV player and YouTube working. However, 4OD and Demand 5 are still not working, any idea how to resolve this issue?

Or can you recommend a reasonably priced smart DNS that will work?

You could try Unblock-Us, you'd get a 7 day free trial so you can check if it works with those 2 players before any money changes hands. If you decide to continue after the trial it's $4.99(currently £2.80)
