    Symptoms:
Delete takes longer and longer then stalls. On reboot no saved programmes but disc still shows as 72% full. Can't record. Disc related menu options all grayed out.
    Actions:
Factory reset reinstates all menu options. Disc format indicates 'processing' for several hours then the HDR shuts down. Restart puts me back to 'no disc options'
Disc ordered as I had no suitable spares. The failed disc was dated 2014.

I'll update when new disc fitted.

New disc supplied from ebay (less than £8) same size as original. Fitted, power on, prompt for format, this completed in about 2 mins, all well.

WiFi settings restablished, lost by previous factory reset. Server and ftp on. Tried to run BBC iPlayer but 'service not available on this system' message. That's something for later as I have iPlayer by another route.

I think iPlayer support on the HDR-2000T ended some months ago.
