Today I have encountered a couple of niggles with my unit.
Yesterday Sunday I programmed it to record ch5hd at 21.00 on the coming Wednesday and selected record series, today Monday at 12.15 it has commenced recording a repeat of last weeks episode.
Is this normal and can I expect this to happen with all channels having programmes of the same title,I thought the unit would operate in a similar fashion to a Sky box.
Also how do you stop a timed recording once commenced has I could not stop this one.
What you have observed will only tend to happen when you start to record a series midway though AND that series is one of channels 5's.
Channel 5 class all repeats on the same channel as part of the same series set. Other broadcasters don't tend to do this, and classify repeats as a separate series. For its part the Humax will attempt to record each episode once for each 'series' requested to be recorded. As you were too late to record the original broadcast of the episode this combination resulted in the repeat being recorded.

Easiest way is to watch any live channel and press the stop button on the remote.
