Oooh! you have three extra fancy options that mine doesn't have i.e. 4:3 Full, Sidecut Just and Sidecut Zoom.
Any idea what those extra three actually do?
I will check what Just does with All Creatures at 17:00. With mine it is Auto that makes the 4:3 fill the screen.
One might have thought Humax would have provided options that don't entail having to delve into the menu each time there's a 4:3 broadcast (for those of us who don't appreciate the black bars).

Not really got a clue, but have discovered they only appear when viewing an HDMI external input. So your TV may also have them. They do very strange things to a 1080i signal though

Though I suppose it would be a workaround for the "4:3 locked into 16:9" situation.

You're right again Graham, I do have the extra options with the HDMI input.
I have tried H1 and H2 too. H2 provides more stretch. I have found H1, Overscan set to on and 16.9 ratio to work best for me. That way Robert Hardy appears to have put nowt but a couple of extra pounds on
