    Hi There,
I just bought a HDR-FOX T2 500GB from amazon uk and it is dead on arrival, I've checked the fuse on the UK plug, the on-off switch is on, but there's no lights on the front or any reaction to pressing the standby switch on the unit or on the remote.
Any ideas before I return it to amazon?
    Thanks alot.
    Andrew

Hi welcome to the forum. Sounds faulty to me, report it to Amazon.

Thanks a lot, Yes I reckon it's faulty, but thought I'd ask in case this was common. I'm getting a bit fed up with PVRs, this is a replacement for a Tvonics one which was great for 2 weeks then just locked up at switch on.
Thinking about going back to "standard" makes eg panasonic.

    It's not common

Humax pvrs are just as well built as Panasonic ones.

Thanks, yes you're right, I just asked amazon to send a replacement, I'll give humax another chance.
    Thanks for your quick replies.
