You just need to install a DLNA client - I use XMBC (download here).
If you use XBMC, then Videos, right arrow, Files. Add source, and browse. Select UPnP Devices.
You should see your HDR listed if you have enabled Content Sharing (in the menu) and both the HDR and iMac is on the same network.
I use XBMC on Windows too, and I found it is a great client. One thing I recently found out, was that it could play an HD recording that I transferred off an HDR, that VLC or Splash Lite couldn't play properly...
