I have had the HDR for a year now and suddenly, while changing channels or something similar, the PVR button on the remote lit up red and won't switch off unless I take the batteries out. At the same time none of the other buttons respond apart from the fact that when I press another button the PVR button light goes out until I release the other button I've pressed.

I've tried resetting it (as someone suggested on another post) by taking the batteries out and then pressing a button for a while to discharge but all is still the same.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thank you.

Have you tried replacing the batteries?

Yes, I have, to no avail.

The humax box is still working, i.e. I can change channels using the arrows on the actual box but of course you need the remote for everything else.

Wow, it worked! Fantastic! Thanks so much Barry.

I do have another less urgent question but I'll do a separate post for that.
