    hi. my first post.

I have a foxsat hdr 500. first problem is that using the optical port to my panasonic home cinema set up. there is no sound on HD channels (through the Home cinema speakers) any ideas on what this could be?
2nd question. i want to send the signal to another room using the output, like using the RF2 on a sky box with a magic eye. is this possible? thanks in advance for any advice.

    Welcome to the forum.

At a guess your home cinema kit won't handle ac3 audio input externally. You can force the Foxsat to output lpcm stereo by turning off surround sound in the TV setup menu.

TRiax make a box that will allow you to emulate a Sky box rf2 output and allow magic eye remote controls. Google Triax Tri-link.

Be aware though that some say the audio doesn't work properly with their Foxsat's. You could just use a cheap external modulator to send the pictures and replace the magic eye remote senders with a separate remote infra red system like the powermid system.
