Something I've noticed is that since the update, after performing a YouTube search, then playing a video from the resulting list, the Back button now returns you to your original search results, instead of the search dialogue, where you used to have to carry out your search all over again.

Are people still having problems playing YouTube video on their HDR-2000T? I've tried two brand new HDRs this week; both load YouTube but neither will actually play videos, just the black screen with loading dial. I'm on software version 1.01.10. Tried all the reboots/resets, etc.

I have Youtube apps on a number of my TV devices - including my HDR 2000T. However, I gave up using them as they are very clunky compared to the Smartphone. I find it much easier to select the Youtube content on my Smartphone and 'throw' that content onto the TV - much the best way of doing it.

My HDR-2000T behaves the same as yours when on 1.01.10 (and non-branded WiFi dongle V2).
Went back to 1.01.06 and ethernet cable and it was OK.
Minutes later I went back to 1.01.10 and it's back to the black screen with loading dial.

Took it back to RS for full refund yesterday. Fed up with YouTube, intermittent remote response, weak signal, noisy HDD. Shame cos everything else is really good. Will stick with 9300T until new models come out, hopefully without all these issues.

I haven't used the TV portal for several days, but it's certainly working fine at the moment. I can only guess what's happening, but there's obviously something going on at Humax which is nothing to do with the 2000T itself, but rather the way that the YouTube connection is arranged.

From Luke's post (#64) it would seem that the new software version (1.01.10) which makes the new dongle function is the culprit. A new version may be needed to fix it, or a tweak of the YouTube app.

Am I missing something? Where is version 1.01.10 available from? What does it change?

According to Barry the only thing it changes is that it makes the new 300Mb/s dongle work. If you have one of those dongles then Barry may be able to supply the software.

1.01.10 is only needed if you are using the new 300Mbps dongle, it is of no significance to others.

    Edit:

Martin quicker then I....humax support can also provide of course.
