Why buy the box, if you don't like it?

Somewhat obvious I would have thought, but let me explain. How do you get to know it if you don't buy it? Also I like now, I did not like the 2 year journey to get here.

Buy it, try it, take it back if you don't like it, buy it again if it subsequently becomes more attractive. That's my approach. However, what suits one may not suit another.
Personally I quite like the Freesat approach, though I'd be glad if they'd change the colour scheme and lose the shadows. Not a cheery sign, though, when the MD suddenly resigns and is replaced by an accountant.

Having exactly the same issues all weekend. Cannot access on demand or back epg. Can connect using the app on the iphone. This is the third time this has happened now and there appears to be no rhyme or reason to it . I want to try a static ip and followed the trick of switching off dhcp at the router however when I tried to connect it didn't give me the option of going to a manual set up. It just said there was an issue try again and then I'm stuck in a loop. How do I set a static ip? It's a 1010s. Thanks

Yes - turn it DHCP off on your router then reselect "connect automatically" and wait. It will time out and then show the possibility.
I will say I don't think it will help. I assume channel 901 works for you?It is a mystery why just so few still have problems with this.

Yep. I did that . DHCP off at the router . Restart. Go to connect automatically . It fails. But no option for static ip, just try again. No idea why the on demand randomly stops working was fine for last 2 months. I can access via the app on my phone though

Just done a factory reset and its spring back into life . Epg and on demand menus now working. Very buggy software if it needs this

Absolutely could not get that static ip thing working though. Just the message something gone wrong. And then try and reconnect . Same message. Be nice to have an ip section you could just modify

Are you sure you do not actually have a network/WiFi connection problem?
Turn DHCP back on on the router and reselect on the Hunmax.
Does it in fact get an ip or not. If so can you ping it from your PC?| Sun 21 Dec 2014 11:39:00 #760 |
