So in VLC how are you trying to play them? What error message do you receive? In Finder I double click on the file with the .ts extension and it opens VLC with the the file shown in the playlist. I then click on the play button. Previously I thought I got an error message (but maybe that was with one of the other programs that I tried) now nothing happens. I've upgraded to VLC 3.0.4.
It isn't clear to me whether that is trying to play the file via SAMBA or DLNA. Barry reported that SD recordings on Windows 10 were decrypted when copied via SAMBA on Windows 10 but so far I haven't managed to replicate that finding.
The way I am playing files with VLC 3.0.4 on Windows 10 is as follows:
Open VLC
Select Local network> Universal Plug 'n' Play
This should show FVP-5000T DMS and the IP address in the right hand panel
Click on it and it should show 'My Contents'
Click on 'My Contents' and I get two items: Internal HDD and Recordings.
Click on Recordings and you should see a list of programs.
Click on the desired program
No idea if these instructions will work on a Mac.
