Welcome to our Forum
In media highlight the programme or if a series the folder you want to copy, press the opt+ key and highlight move/copy, press ok, highlight the ext HDD from the drop down menu and press ok.
For multiple items, use the red key to select the programmes you want to copy or green if it is all items before opt+
Thanks
I have just purchased a HDR-2000T 500GB
However i am having problems copying things i have recored on the set to a formatted USB stick.

Never tried to a usb stick, use portable HDD if required.
Give me a few minutes and I'll try on one of my units using a number of different size USB pendrives.
Thank you very much indeed.
I do all the above things and get to that last OK then nothing happens.
Ok caveat only tried a small recording (2mins) BBC1 and BBC1 HD
Format NTFS:
SanDisk 128GB, Lexar 8GB and 16GB - both timers copied without issue.
Format FAT32: (limits file size able to transfer to 4GB)
Kingston 16GB - both timers copied without issue.
What is the format of the USB drive you are trying to use?
Thank you very much barry
I am using a 4GB formatted 32fat
My machine recognises the USB and will play some files on it. The problem is when I want to add small programs recored on the humax
I seem to get right up yo the point when i tell it to copy the files from the Humax Harddrive to the USB then nothing happens. Surely i should get some message telling me that the copying is going ahead,
Yes you should see a rotating icon top left of screen.
Perhaps Files are to large, or not enough space on usb drive (unfortunately I do not have one that small to test)
