Our humax is taking ages to boot when you turn it on
Then it works from media so can watch our recordings but
isn’t picking up any signal. Usually it says ‘no signal’ on the
the screen but now it’s blank. The dish itself is solid.
    Any ideas please.

You have posted in the Terrestrial section for models which are Terrestrial TV, yet you have referred to "the dish" which is Satellite (S versions).
Please clarify which model box you actually have.

Is it raining heavily? That if often a satellite signal killer.

Only lost reception from my dish once. Due to a 6 inch thick coat of wet snow on the dish face. Broom fixed it. Never in heavy rain. A zone 2 dish properly aligned should not be affected.

Terrestrial kit is prone to issues with co-channel interference (CCI) during high pressure uplift conditions. Satellite is of course immune to this.
