Hi, Anyone else had issues with the Humax Eye indoor security camera?
I have had 2 and neither work properly. Whilst it records OK on demand and the images are good quality, it either records all the time or not at all. It's supposed to have a "Location Recording" facility which means that when I am in, it doesn't record any motion, when I am out it does. This avoids lots of pointless motion detection recording of us when we in the house, which wastes server space. However I have discovered that if I am out and my partner is in, it does not capture her image when she walks past the camera. This could mean that people install this camera thinking that it is going to record any movement of an intruder when they are out. But if it doesn't work then there is no security provided, its pointless having this device. I don't know how Humax managed to market this when it doesn't do what it says on the tin. It uses the Y cam app and I am waiting for Humax and Y cam to get back to me but seems this may have been an issue 12 months ago and still isn't resolved.
