Dear other Humax fans,
I apologise if this has been discussed to death, but I have had a search and found no other postings about this.
I have my Eye set up on the home network which includes a NAS (Buffalo LS220 LinkStation) which would be a great alternative to the soon closing Web Portal. I have been in touch with "Humax Support" and you get more support from a pre-war pair of boxer shorts. Has anyone else on here fathomed that out or is the bloody thing going on eBay?
Secondly neither Y-Cam nor Humax could offer advice as to what the RTSP Protocol is for connecting to my home automation system. For other Y-Cam products a quick search finds this sort of example: rtsp:// <ip>:<port>/live_mpeg4.sdp, their reply was "Sadly to Say When it comes to the RTSP Protocol We have no information regarding this.". It is available for other Y-Cams but not the Humax badged version. I find this unlikely. Y-Cam's support was just as good they referred me to Humax, who don't know.
All a bit grim.
Hopefully you chaps (and chapesses) have a solution out there.
