    Hi,
Recently I needed to set up my Humax Eye again, following a modem and smartphone replacement.
Usually, this is an easy activity...but it is not made easier by the fact that the required software for set up with an Android phone seems not to exist in the relevant store. Worse, if you follow the link to Y-Cam it seems that their website closed in August 2020...thus showing all the signs of a company closing down.
So, firstly, can anyone help supply me (or tell me where I can download) the y-Cam setup software, and secondly, is Y-Cam still in business?

    Thanks for the help

    George

    Ha,
I can part answer my own question. Y-Cam are now part of Response, see https://www.responseelectronics.com/contact-us/ However, that page was closed as of 3rd May and moves to another site. I can't keep up with this..please check it out for yourself before using the link.

    Hi George,

The quest for a use for these once useful wee cameras seems as if it is likely to be fruitless (all I’ve been able to find is as per the attached screenshot - basically echoing Humax’s own EOL statement) – unless, perhaps, some tech-savvy hero comes up with a bespoke solution, perhaps using the likes of Raspberry Pi. Are we, do you think, now flogging a dead horse?
