It has a CI slot, it can tune to different (meaning non-freesat) satellites (OK, OK, you have to know the "secret" button sequence), it has a harddisk recorder. What would you expect? I would expect that I can program future programs on a non-freesat satellite. NO! Humax Support has confirmed that you can only press the record button and record the program you are watching. I am totally flabbergasted. Anybody know a nifty program which can remedy this serious deficiency?

The FOXSAT-HDR has been a 'Freesat' satellite box from the start. As such it works as designed and is very basic in non-freesat mode.
If you want a 'non-freesat' box you need to purchase Humax other satellite receivers...
Maybe someone clever enough might be able to modify the firmware to support scheduled timers in non-freesat mode, but currently I know of so such hacks.
