Hi, I hope someone can help. I have had the 5000 for approx 15 months. This week it wont turn on. The red light shows and when the power button (remote and on the box) is pressed the red light goes out as if its powering up, but nothing happens apart from the Humax name appearing on a textured background. It then goes back to the red light. But goes into a cycle of trying to turn on. Endless cycle. I've unplugged it. I've taken out all the leads. Plugged them all back in. I've tried changing the hdmi socket. All with no positive results. What have I not done?

open the case - see faqs

Disconnect the hard drive power and data connections.

Now try booting the box. If it boots and gives you live TV the HDD is shot. You can fit a seagate pipeline up to 2TB,
