What do you honourable members think?
I'm looking to get another box to replace my Humax1100s in the lounge and put this one upstairs in my Bedroom for the TV

Depends which box you are talking about; they often have two models one that records and one which doesn't record.

Are you considering just fresat boxes?

If you are just considering freesat then the Manhattan recoding option would be a second hand Manhattan Plaza HDR-S.

Sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I couldn't log on till now

Can I ask why you recommend the Manhattan Plaza HDR-S, please?

My post quotes what you posted. The reason I quoted you was to give you the context of my comment.

My post does not recommend the Manhattan Plaza HDR-S, nor does it disparage it. My post merely gives you a model name of a Manhattan freesat recorder as you strongly implied that you were not able to find a Manhattan freesat recorder.

Because it appears to be the only Manhattan that is both freesat and records.

You have stated it must record but do you want to stick with Freesat or go Freeview and new or second hand?

This will affect the replies because,

    The Arris is Freesat.

Manhatton is Freeview only unless you go second-hand as Luke suggested.

Humax is also Freeview again unless you go second-hand/refurb/new old stock.
