The dialogue box came up on screen to say the humax was recording a programme on BBC1, but nothing was scheduled. While this was happening, we could only watch BBC1 when using the humax box. Other programmes weren’t available.
Can anyone offer any help, please?

Is there a new recording on the box itself ? Was it BBC 1-HD or SD ?

Does the box have two cables connected ?

Thank you for your reply, Graham.

Yes, there was a twenty minute recording on the box itself, which was part of a longer programme.
    It was BBC1SD.
Yes, the box has two cables connected, so I can record two programmes at the same time, or record one programme and watch a different channel.

Baffled - No one pressed the record button on the remote by accident, and why would it lock out the other tuner unless it was recording two recordings ? You should have been able to view a few channels.

Did you cycle using the channel up down buttons ? While recording two these cycle through the available 3rd channels.

Which region BBC1-SD do you have on lcn 101 ? Tune to it and press the opt+ button and post the transponder details.

Thank you for your interest, Graham. I appreciate your help.
No one had pressed the record button--and it only recorded 20 mins of a longer programme and then stopped.
We scrolled up and down to try to get other channels, but just got the usual message about unable to connect.
I'm afraid I couldn't say for certain which region we had BBC1 SD tuned to, though I would say almost certainly BBC1 Wales.

If you tune to channel 101 and press opt+ it will display the transponder details. This will give me enough information to tell you what channels you should be able to watch even when the second tuner is recording using a totally different transponder. Once I have this I can suggest a simple test to prove the box is working properly

This is what the dialogue box says:
    101 BBC One WalHD
    Freesat 1102 MHz H 230003/4

Assuming the 1102 is a typo and it should be 11023.

Goto 102 and start an instant recording

Press 103 to go to ITV 1 and start a second recording.

Move to the following channels in turn by entering the channel number and check you can view all of them

    107 BBC Four HD 11023 H
    200 BBC NEWS HD 11023 H
    601 CBeebies HD 11023 H
    973 BBC One ScotHD 11023 H
    976 BBC One Wal HD 11023 H

    112 ITV +1 Wales 10832 H
    103 ITV Wales 10832 H

Yes, Graham, 1102 was a typo, it is 11023
I started the two instant recordings, and the following is what happened:
    107 No
    200 No
    601 No
    973 No
    976 No
    112 Yes
    103 Yes

    Something is wrong.

Can you stop both recordings and using opt+ check you can view all the channels in both blocks and confirm the transponder details in the list are correct using opt+ ?

If so power off and switch the two inputs. Check you have nothing on the the middle f socket (tuner 1 out) and that the two cables are on the outer sockets. Now reboot and check you can view all the channels in the list with no recordings.

    If OK repeat the test.
