Yes, I have done this as well on progs I really wanted to watch, mostly on various 4 channels. I just add 10 minutes to the end and put it to weekly [usually] e.g. Shameless.
Most progs are repeated, some endlessly, but sods law applies too.
WARNING - when you do a manual timing with padding added on, you have to keep a close eye that they do not move it. There is a current trend for progs to be moved 30 minutes back and forward mainly on BBC channels but others do it too especially when they have sport or a special prog on.
