In the past week my HDR-2000T has been losing sound intermittently while watching live TV. The loss is less than 1 second, and occurs randomly so it could be several times a minute or less frequently. I think it is doing it on all channels but I haven't done a definitive check on this. The box is connected by HDMI to a Panasonic Viera 40CS520B TV. The TV does not suffer the sound losses if viewed via the in-built tuner, so I presume that it is not signal or transmitter related. I have rebooted the box but the problem remains. The box is on the latest firmware. Any ideas?

Can you confirm that SD channels are also affected ?

Do you get the same problem with S/PDIF audio output ?

My TV does not have digital in so I have connected the Humax to the TV with the RCA connectors. So far there are no drop-outs.

I was hoping you had a way of checking the S/Pdif. It's looking as if there is some sort of bug with HDMI digital audio out. I was hoping that the S/Pdif was OK. If so there may be a workaround as S/Pdif inserters to HDMI are available. Have you tried other HDMI inputs on the TV and replacing the HDMI cable ?

Has your TV got DVI in ?

I have tried the other HDMI input and it may be better. However, I need to do this all logically when I have more time.

Has your TV got DVI in ? If so you can combine HDMI HD Video and analogue stereo audio.

My TV only has DVI out. However, since connecting the red/white RCA plugs from Humax to TV the problem appears to have ceased.
